Scrutiny and compartment
The two routes after an unsatisfactory Inter result are the same in structure as at matric level:
- Scrutiny — a re-check of the answer sheet for marking and totalling errors, not a fresh evaluation. Applied for online, per subject, with a fee.
- Compartment — a second attempt in a limited number of failed subjects, with eligibility conditions set in the notification.
The Inter compartment result for 2026 was released on 23 May 2026. As at matric level, the board schedules it early enough that students who clear can still take admission in the same academic session rather than losing a year.
